In last week's Media team meeting which took place in class, we had another issue. On the day of our shoot which was Thursday, our dancer told us that she wasn't feeling well and was in severe pain. After much discussion on what to do, we told her that this was a planned day and it had to be done. However, as we were concerned with the health of our dancer, as it could have impacted the shoot, we decided to cancel our shoot for Thursday and shoot on Monday, during the half term holiday. Due to unknown reasons, our director Samiz was unavailable, leaving the assistant directors, Aamna and I to take control. We met on Monday at Hollow Ponds, and it was an amazing shoot! As Aamna and I were the only crew members, it allowed us to have a lot of control and decision making in terms of camera angles etc. Instead of shooting once or twice, which had been the case for previous locations, Aamna and I decided that shooting from various angles and lighting would allow us to have a variety of shots to choose from, shortlisting these shots to pick the best one. Despite postponing the shoot to Monday, I believe it was beneficial as we had more time during the holiday to shoot. We faced a minor issue when coming back to college, as the technician who was responsible to take the equipment back was not present and had left. This resulted in leaving the camera equipment at the estate managers office, hoping that he will give the equipment back to the technician.
