Music Video Processing
In today's lesson, we started producing our music videos. Despite my previous post, where our music video was based on Let It Go" . We decided to change our song to the opening theme song of My Little Pony as I knew the lyrics for the song more and also we believe that this is a bit more humorous. The music video Stu took place on the field but there was some slight modifications. Firstly the bush scene was removed and on the day there was a sprinkler present on the set and we decided to use the sprinkler which was used to add a humorous effect and to make me seem extremely happy. Additionally we were unable to take the scene where there was two individuals looking at me in a confused manner because there was a lack of people that you will be able to help us during the scene. Nevertheless we were still able to create a humorous music video and using different camera angles and I'll just have a variety of shots which made the music video more interesting and not boring. Additionally we also included a dance sequence as firstly I am known for my humorous funny dancing which we would be able to include in the music video and also because during the bloopers session of our music video, there are funny dance moves which we would be able to include music videoas it would be funny. Despite a change in plan me and my group are able to use our surroundings as a way of creating a entertaining and eye-catching music video. Moreover we are hoping to be able to add effects whilst editing to video to make it look more interesting and to allow us to experiment with the editing applications.

Music Video/Lip-sync class activity-Let It Go!
In class, we had begun to prepare for our music video which would require lip syncing to songs of our preference. In my group, we decided to lip sync to "Let It Go", a song featured in Frozen. Below is an image of our recces/storyboard/scenes for the music video.
The music video will take place in various parts of the field near the college basketball and football area. This is because the area may have some students present and there is a scene where the students notice the singer (myself) wearing headphones and singing bad, unaware of my bad vocals due to my loud music. This will add humour to our music video, which will entertain viewers. Another reason for having our video outside is another reason for humour-the singer connecting to nature and singing in green area may mimic the original music video-making the lip syncing video similar to a parody. Additionally, the wide space of the field also acts as a mimic to the original music video, as the character Elsa sings "Let It Go" on a cold, vast mountain. The main focus prop will be headphones, as the singer will be oblivious to his surroundings and singing a song from a childrens movie will be seen as odd and comedic. Using the trees and bushes in the field, we will use them to make the viewers laugh but also to create emphasis on the obliviousness of the singer and to show how immersed and connected he has become with the song. The first box of the storyboard shows me frolicking through the field, in a cheerful and childish manner, reflecting my personality. This scene is likely to involve the camera panning along with my movement. The second box shows the start of the song, showing me turn around in a dramatic manner, immersed with the song, full of emotion, in a mid shot. The third box may possibly be a shoulder shot of two individuals watching me sing, showing how I feel inside and then showing how I actually look. There will also be a closeup shot of the two students looking at me in a confused manner, saying lines such as "What is he doing?!".
As for the fourth box, it illustrates the dynamic part of the song, where the singer is declaring his presence with the line "Here I Am!". The fourth box shows me popping out of a bush, adding humour to the music video and making it playful. This is likely to be a mid shot or a wide shot. The fifth box is the climatic end of the song. As it is climatic and powerful vocals are provided, the camera will zoom out in time with the song,
So the audio matches the movement of the camera. This will be used to mimic the original music video. As for the final box, similar to the fifth box, it also mimics the mid shot of the original music video, and shows the singer singing the last time and turning away from the camera and walking away. The camera will blur and this will mark the end of the music video. The production process of the music videos will start on Friday!
